K'taka to release additional grants for SSIs
Bangalore, July 9 (UNI) The Karnataka Government will soon release an additional grant of Rs 59 crore to clear the subsidy due to Small Scale Industries, Large and Medium Industries Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu informed today.
Speaking after inaugurating the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Electrical Merchants Association here, he said the ruling JD(S)-BJP coalition had already released Rs 90 crore for the purpose.
Calling upon enterpreneurs to establish industries in rural areas, Mr Naidu said the state government was contemplating granting lands at subsidised rates to such units.
Stating that industries were major drivers of economic growth, he urged enterpreneurs to utilise the tremendous opportunities available in the country.
