JKLF to protest during PoK Assembly election on July 11
Jammu, July 9 (UNI) Blaming the Pakistani leadership and authorities for depriving Kashmiris of their basic political right in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has called for a demonstration during the state assembly elections on July 11.
JKLF chairman Amanullah Khan, while talking to UNI from PoK, said the front would take out demonstrations in main towns of PoK on July 11, the day the elections would be held.
'' We will make these demonstrations successful so that the world community knows how pro-independence people are treated by the Pakistan and PoK governments,'' he added.
Mr Khan termed the Act of 1974 'apartheid' in which pro-independence Kashmiris are deprived of their basic political rights.
The nomination papers of 30 nominees of pro-independence JKLF for the elections were rejected as they wanted Jammu and Kashmir to be a fully independent State.
JKLF chief addressed a public rally in Sabir Shaheed Stadium Rawlakot in PoK amid continuous pro-independence slogans by about 3000-strong gathering.
