Heat wave conditions force early summer vacations in Kashmir
Srinagar, July 9 (UNI) In view of the prevailing heat wave condition in Kashmir with temperature soaring above 35.5 degrees Celsius during the past few days and no sign of rains, the Jammu and Kashmir government announced a ten-day summer vacation for all schools in the Valley from tomorrow.
As per an order issued by the Directorate of School Education, all government and private schools up to class 12 would observe the summer vacations from July 10 to 19.
The order also said that the examination of the remaining papers of class 11 have been postponed and a revised schedule would be notified separately.
