Gadaria kin nabbed
Gwalior, July 9 (UNI) Five persons, including the sister and brother-in-law of dacoits Dayaram and Rambabu Gadaria, have been arrested after an encounter with the bandits in Thati village, police said.
Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Sharma received a tip-off last night that the dacoits' kin and some members of the Baghel community were coming to settle a dispute. A strategy was formulated along with Inspector-General (Gwalior Range) Sarbjit Singh.
When the gang was about to reach Jeevanlal Baghel's well, the police attacked from Chauras Maidan. The bandits returned fire and managed to flee under cover of darkness.
The Gadarias' sister Ramshree, her husband Pragilal, Dabra-resident Gajendra Baghel alias Ramesh, Urwa-resident Jagdeesh Baghel and Picchor-resident Naresh Baghel were apprehended. Others escaped taking advantage of their knowledge of the topography.
