Cong still not decided in three districts about their ZP candidates
Hyderabad, July 9 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee President K Keshava Rao today said except three ZPTCs, the Party has finalised its candidates for almost 75 per cent of ZPTCs which it was likely to win in the state.
Speaking to newsmen here, Mr Rao said that he had discussed with the Party cadres and leaders of the allies about the ZP candidates.
In only three districts, they could not decide the names.
However, tommorow morning at 0830 hrs, the respective District Congress Committee Presidents would announce the names, he added.
Mr Rao said the Congress and allies did not have wide differences and mutual understanding was good.
He said the Party was facing great pressure from their cadres regarding the Nalgonda ZP. ''More than we promised we may accomodate CPI'', he pointed out.
Asked about Khammam, Mr Rao said both Congress and allies and TDP and allies were equal. ''We will have to wait and see. But I am not going to comment on that'', he added.
Asked about Telugu Desam Party (TDP) taking strong objection to State Election Commission (SEC) going ahead with gram pachayat elections without proper electoral rolls, Mr Rao said when State Election Commissioner AVS Reddy announced 15 days ago the summary revision to include missing names in the rolls, not a single name was brought up by the TDP. The TDP's criticisism of the SEC in the present scenario was a clear proof of their defeatist attitude, he alleged.
