AP Govt clears Ordinance to set up Vedic University
Tirupati, July 9 (UNI) Decks were cleared for setting up a Vedic University here, with the state cabinet approving the Ordinance in this regard.
According to TTD officials, a TTD Trust Board meeting chaired by Union Minister T Subbirami Reddy had taken the decision to revive the Centre at Dharmagiri, Tirumala, as a separate Univeristy under TTD. The proposal in this regard was sent to the government for its consideration, two months ago.
The Board also constituted a two-member Coordination Committee with TTD Executive Officer A P V N Sarma and Rastriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha (RSV) Vice-Chancellor H K Sathapathi.
The Dharmagiri Vedapatasala would be brought under the jurisdiction of the proposed University.
