2186 pilgrims leave for Amarnath holy cave
Jammu, July 9 (UNI) A fresh batch of 2,186 pilgrims today left here for the holy cave shrine of Amarnath in south Kashmir.
The group of devotees, comprising 1740 men, 473 women, 48 children and 195 sadhus, left from the base camp at M A M stadium early this morning under tight security in a fleet of 80 vehicles, officials said.
More than 50,000 pilgrims from across the country have left for holy cave from have since the commencement of the pilgrimage.
About 1.9 Lakh pilgrims have visited the shrine since June 10 this year the sources of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) said.
