Kochi, July 8 (UNI) Unperturbed by the one-day series loss against the West Indies, Team India's confidence level is high and the side is now going to focus on the Triangular Series in Sri Lanka next month, pace bowler S Sreesanth said today.

Addressing a ''Meet the Press'' programme at the Press Club here, Sreesanth said the one day series defeat in the West Indies, coming after the team's string of successes against Sri Lanka, Pakistan and England, had not undermined its confidence.

''Winning and losing is a part of the game. And the fact that we won the Test series after that, shows that our confidence level is high,'' he added.

Asked about the World Cup next year, he said the championship was at the back of the team's mind and it was working towards putting up a good show. However, the focus for the time being was on the upcoming series in Sri Lanka, he added.

Sreesanth, who himself had a disappointing run in the one-dayers before coming up with a decent performance in the Test series, said he would be going to the MRF Pace Academy in Chennai next week before reporting for the team's training camp, the venue for which is yet to be decided.

Indicating that he had not forgotten his days as an opening batsman in the Under-13 team, Sreesanth said he would like to brush up on his batting also. ''My endeavour is that if Dhoni or Irfan are batting on 80, I should be able to chip in with 15 or 20 runs so that they can get their century. I would like to contribute to the team in batting also and would like to become an all-rounder,'' he added.

Sreesanth said that he had good interactions with Andy Roberts, Curtly Ambrose and Ian Bishop in West Indies and got some ''good tips'' from them.

About playing in the Ranji Trophy, he said he did not mind playing cricket at any level. ''However, if selected for the triangular series, I will have to give it a miss.'' Stating that there were several promising youngsters from Kerala playing in the Under-19 for the South Zone, Sreesanth said they deserved to be brought into Kerala's Ranji team.

Confessing his love for ''dancing, partying and having a good time,'' Sreesanth replied in a lighter vein about acting in films, ''After I am through with cricket by the age of 35, I can get into movies and then into politics at the age of 55 and charity work at 75.'' UNI ARC VV PM HS1343
