Rupesh-Hsin pair enters boys' doubles semi-final at Wimbledon

London, July 8 (UNI) Kolkata boy Rupesh Roy and his Chinese Taipei partner Hsin Han Lee upset the third seeded Croate pair of Luka Belic and Antonio Veic 7-6 (7/5), 6-7 (4/7), 6-4 to move into the semi-final of the boys' doubles event of the Wimbledon here.

A bigger challenge awaits Rupesh and Hsin in the semifinals as they will be taking on the second seeded Slovak pair of Martin Klizan and Andrei Martin.

Rupesh and Hsin never looked intimidated by their third seeded opponents and matched them shot for shot from the very start.

The Indo-Chinese Taipei pair were determined to take the fight to their opponents and they proved it by taking the first set to the tie-breaker and than holding on to their nerves to win it 7-5.

However, in the second set, which also went into tie-break, it was the turn of Luka and Antonio to bounce back as they beat the Rupesh-Hsin pair 7-4.

But the third seeds ran out of steam in the decider and allowed their unheralded opponents to make a strong comeback and seal the match in their favour.
