Residents attack BSES office

New Delhi, July 8 (UNI) Residents agitated over long hours of power cuts attacked the office of the power company BSES at Krishna Nagar in East Delhi last night.

Nearly 100 residents of the area damaged furniture and burnt some electrical items kept in the office after forcing their way inside by breaking a wall, witnesses said.

Police soon brought the situation under control.

Area residents said they did not receive power supply for more than eight hours yesterday and that no one at the electricity office was answering their phone calls.

Power supply was yet to be restored in the area till this evening.
