Pregnant passenger's ill health forces IA flight to return midway
Dubai, July 8 (UNI) Cochin bound Indian Airlines flight that left Sharjah had to return to the airport mid-flight after a pregnant passenger developed low blood pressure.
The flight IC 596 that left airport at 0515 hrs on Friday returned to the airport at 0730 hrs.
The pregnant women, whose name was not disclosed, had to be rushed to hospital where she is said to be in normal condition.
Later, the Airbus A 300 departed with rest of the passengers at 1100hrs .
An Indian Airlines official said the passenger, who was within the pregnancy threshold of eight months, had developed low blood pressure.
''We had to rush her to the hospital by bringing back the flight to the airport,'' said the official.
