Gwalior, July 8 (UNI) VHP International General Secretary Praveen Togadia today said no other religion would be provided space at Ram temple premises in Ayodhya.

''The proposal was discussed in detail in the presence of RSS Chief K S Sudarshan,'' Mr Togadia told reporters, while informing about the resolution passed on Ram Temple issue during the first day of the VHP central organising committee's three-day meeting.

''A pledge 'Mandir vahin aur masjid Ayodhya ki sanskritik sima mein kahin nahin (Temple at the same place, and no mosque within the cultural boundaries of Ayodhya)' was taken in the proposal,'' he said.

Dr Togadia said the VHP discussed the matter with the 'sadhu samaj', who extended their full support besides being prepared for any kind of struggle.

He expressed suspicion that the UPA Government was planning to construct a mosque in the 'Ram Janmbhoomi' region in Ayodhya as a part of minority appeasement policies in view of upcoming general elections.

Alleging that the Congress-led UPA had broken all the boundaries of democracy and secularism, he said it provided reservation on the basis of religion in Andhra Pradesh but was stopped by the Supreme Court.

On political parties not coming up to expectations over the Ram temple issue, the VHP leader said history must not be regretted but Hindu welfare will have to be considered by whoever comes to power next.

On lack of enthusiasm among people over the temple construction, he said the issue had continued since the past 450 years and had taken aggressive shape at various times.
