Missing spoon separates couple
Jabalpur, July 8 (UNI) A missing spoon led to separation of a couple. The family discord over the missing spoon from dowry items was amicably resolved at a family counselling centre.
Family counselling centre member Anshumal Shukla said Rajendra's daughter Shyama (26) was married to Kamlesh Choudhary four years back.
However, some days later, Kamlesh's mother Saraswati Bai gave away all the dowry items to her son and daughter-in-law after Kamlesh demanded that he wanted to live separately.
Shyama alleged that her mother-in-law provided her one spoon less in her dowry items. Following the dispute, Shyama started living at her maternal home and lodged a dowry harassment case against her mother-in-law in the Mahila police station.
The matter was referred to the counselling centre, which found a missing spoon to be the cause of discord.
Although the couple were united due to the centre's intervention, Saraswati Bai decided not to talk to Shyama for whole life.
