Mid-term polls a strong possibility: Rajnath
Jodhpur, July 8 (UNI): BJP's national president Rajnath Singh said today that mid-term polls is a strong possibility in view of the conflicting political situation in the country.
Mr Singh, who is here to participate in the party's state executive meeting in Tiwri village, about 40 km from here, while speaking to reporters, said the Left parties have double standards. While supporting the government in Parliament, they are protesting against the UPA government's anti-people policies on the streets. He reiterated that if their protest is genuine, they should withdraw their support to the government.
Discussing the situation of Jammu and Kashmir, he said the terrorist strikes have increased in the past few days. But the UPA government is continuing its dialogue with Pakistan to normalise relations which again amounts to double standards in politics.
Demanding an end to terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, he said the central government should take steps to stop the 67 terrorist training camps currently on in Pakistan. He said the NDA government had closed 60 such camps in Pakistan during its rule.
