Janardan promoted Chief of Cong Media Cell, Rajeev removed

New Delhi, July 8 (UNI) In a significant reshuffle of the AICC Media Department, Congress President Sonia Gandhi today elevated party General Secretary Janardan Dwivedi to the post of its Chairman and appointed two new spokespersons removing Congress MP Rajiv Shukla from the post.

CWC members Satyavrat Chaturvedi and Mukul Wasnik are the two new Spokespersons of the Media Department in addition to Mrs Jayanti Natrajan,according to an AICC release issued here today by Union Minister and Incharge of the North Eastern States and Frontal Organisations Oscar Fernandes.

Mr Dwivedi fills the vacancy caused six months ago by Mrs Ambika Soni by becoming a Union Minister for Tourism. .

Mr Abhishek Singhvi, hitherto functioning as Congress Spokesman, has been elevated as the Vice Chairman of the Media Department, according to the release.

Mr Tom Vadakkan continues to be the Secretary of the AICC Media Department.

The members of the Media Committee will be announced later, the release said.
