Haryana CM meets PM seeking completion of state projects
New Delhi, July 8 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda tonight met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and urged him to speedily implement urging him for speedy implementail major state projects including those of power generation, metro rail and separate High Court for the state.
Mr Hooda said the proposed nuclear power plan(4x700 MW) for the state should be taken up during the 11th Plan as a site for it had already been finalised in Fatehabad district.
Also, the gas-based second unit of 432 MW NTPC power project be taken up at the earliest with the state palloured to draw its adequate share of power from mega power projects of the Central Government as Punjab had been given share in Lara Project in Chhattisgarh.
He urged Prime MInister to for extension of metro rail to Gurgaon as its alignment had already been approved by the Union Urban Ministry.
Other projects mentioned in the meeting were construction of elevated flyover at Badarpur and integrarted plan for development of infrastructure like transport, communications, water supply and power in the National Capital Region.
