Grenade blast in Kulgam kills one, injures 30

Srinagar, Jul 8: At least one person was killed and thirty others were injured in a grenade blast at Kulgam in South Kashmir today.

National Conference (NC) leader Sakina Itoo and some other NC leaders were injured in the grenade attack.

Officials sourced said militants hurled the hand grenade towards a shrine in Kulgam around 1130 hrs, injuring at least 31 people.

One of the injured succumbed to injuries while the condition of two was stated to be critical, the officials added.
