Grain merchant murdered for Rs 1200 and gold chain

Surat, July 8 (UNI) Armed robbers attacked a grain merchant with sharp weapons and killed him in a bid to rob his gold chain and Rs 1,200.

The incident occurred on Thursday at Sanjana road in Umravada taluka, Surat rural police control room officials said.

According to the police Narain Bhanushali, was attacked by a gang as he was returning to his house on a bike after closing his shop.

Mr Bhanushali tried to resist the gangsters but they used a sharp weapon and killed him.

They also robbed Rs 1,200 and a gold chain from him, police said.
