Govt imposes complete ban on teachers' transfer
Chandigarh, July 8 (UNI) The Haryana Government has imposed ban on transfers of teachers and those found in the office of Directorate here for the purpose of transfers would invite stern disciplinary action, Education K K Khandelwal Commissioner and Director General School a senior official said today.
He disciplinary action would also be taken against those who make a request for transfer to a political leader or a public representative or otherwise.
Mr Khandelwal made it clear in case anyone exerted pressure or used influence of any kind for cancellation, adjustment or change of station or otherwise, strict disciplinary action would be taken against the defaulters which included suspension, debarring from further promotion and making adverse entry in the confidential file.
However, in case of any discrepancy in transfer orders issued earlier, representations could be given to the concerned District Education Officer before July 12.
The District Education Officers have been directed to forward such requests in consolidated form to the Directorate upto July 15.
If required, adjustments would be made while looking into these discrepancies, he added.
He said that general transfers have been made in view of various factors like rationalisation, public interest and on administrative grounds like serious complaints received against teachers.
Mr Khandelwal said 1,620 transfers of teachers and ministerial cadre staff have been made with immediate effect and information regarding all transfers of School Education Department has been made available on internet.
