Four students drowned in Milak river in Mokokchung

Kohima, Jul 8 (UNI) Four students were drowned in Milak river at Debuia village under Mokokchung district, official sources said today.

Twelve school students were on a picnic on the banks of the river when one of the boys fell into the water. In an effort to rescue him, four of his friends immediately jumped into the water resulting in their death, sources added.

A combined rescue operation by police and villagers had recovered the bodies of all the four.
