Former AIFF Secretary KN Mour passes away
New Delhi, July 8 (UNI) Former All India Football Federation (AIFF) secretary Kedar Nath Mour died of heart attack here this morning at the age of 68.
Mr Mour, who was earlier admitted in hospital after he sustained a brain hemorrhage, is survived by his wife and five children.
A prominent referee of his time, who officiated in three DCM Tournament finals and in number of matches abroad, Mr Mour was AIFF secretary from 1997-2000. He had also worked as a FIFA Referee and FIFA Instructor.
Mr Mour was secretary general of the Assam Football Association for 25 years and was serving the Assam Olympic Association as its Vice President before his death.
Delhi Soccer Association secretary NK Bhatia expressed shock at Mr Mour's sudden death and said, ''It was a huge shock for the football fraternity. He was an able administrator and his death is a great loss for the game in the country.'' RK Gupta, one of the organisers of the DCM Tournament, who was with Mr Mour till the end, also echoed the view and said, ''Mr Mour has left an indelible mark both as a referee and an administrator.'' Mr Mour's body would be taken to Guwahati for cremation, Mr Gupta informed.
