LONDON, July 7 (Reuters) Roger Federer was almost embarrassed at how well he played in his virtuoso Wimbledon semi-final thrashing of Sweden's Jonas Bjorkman today.

The men's champion swaggered into his fourth consecutive final at the All England Club with a 6-2 6-0 6-2 exhibition that left Centre Court drooling.

''Yeah, I mean, it was, yeah, it was flawless,'' stuttered the world number one, who has not dropped a set in the tournament yet.

''I had high expectations to win this match today and then to come through and play at a level I did today, I think that's great. I'm very, very pleased.'' Federer played almost perfect tennis from start to finish to inflict on poor 34-year-old Bjorkman the heaviest Wimbledon semi-final defeat since the end of the challenge round format in 1922.

''It's just a beautiful feeling,'' added Federer, who faces either Rafael Nadal or Marcos Baghdatis in Sunday's final.

''You don't get it very often because usually you have very close matches that depend on a couple of points.

''When you can dominate an opponent, it's always sort of nice. But especially in the semi-finals of a grand slam, it's even better I think.

''He told me after the match that he actually thought he was playing all right. That's also the feeling I had really.

''He wasn't making crazy mistakes or anything. He really just came up short.

''So for this reason there was no need to feel bad for him because I just had a really great day, and unfortunately he couldn't do any better today.'' Reuters SY VP0002
