Addressing the press here, Assocation President K Nageswara Rao alleged that the government was not taking steps to regularise the contract lecturers who were working in the colleges since several years.

Pointing out that the government had also issued a GO to remove the contract lecturers from the services who failed to achieve the targets in the results during this year, he charged that the government was not paying salaries regularly and was conspiring to remove all contract lecturers from the services.

Mr Rao threatened that the Association would launch a movement if the government did not accept their long pending demands.
