Bail plea of Mir, Khanday deferred yet again

Srinagar, July 7 (UNI) A local court here deferred till July 11 the bail applications of two former Jammu and Kashmir ministers and senior IAS officer.

The bail applications of former Jammu and Kashmir Minister and sitting legislator Ghulam Ahmed Mir and Raman Mattoo and senior IAS officer Mohammad Iqbal Khanday arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the sex racket case were taken up before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Srinagar Mohammad Yousuf Akhoon today.

The CJM after hearing arguments from both the sides deferred the bail application of all the accused till July 11.

Yesterday the court deferred the bail application of nine other accused including Deputy Inspector General of BSF till July 15.

Earlier in the day, the CJM, Srinagar extended the judicial remand of Jammu and Kashmir Police Counter-Insurgency Wing DSP Mohammad Yousuf Mir for further 14 days.
