A girl found dead in Manipur

Imphal, Jul 8 (UNI) A 17-year-old girl, identified as Nganlinchong Kipgen of Monsang in Kangpokpi, was found dead.

Police said here today that she might have been killed yesterday and her body was sent for post-mortem in the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS).

Police said foul play was suspected as the dress of the girl was torn.

''She had left home on July 6 to call her younger brother and was missing after that. The possibility of rape was also not ruled out,'' police added.

Police is enquiring into the matter.
