Vigilance sleuths arrest forester

Patna, July 7 (UNI) A forester was caught red handed by sleuths of state vigilance department while he was accepting bribe of Rs. 500 from the owner of a saw mill here today.

Vigilance department sources said that Surendra Prasad Shrivastava was accepting bribe for forwarding some official documents of the owner of the saw mill to higher authorities.

Sources said the forester was posted at Patna forest division.

The involvement of higher authorities in corrupt practices could not be ruled out, the sources added.
