Undertrial escapes from police custody

Pilibhit, July 7 (UNI) A murder accused undergoing treatment in district hospital escaped late last night, official sources said today.

The undertrial, Mannu was admitted in the hospital on June 28 hoodwinked the police escort and fled.

The incident came to light this morning, following which the erring police constable was suspended.

A manhunt had been launched to nab the absconding undertrial.
