TNSF resort to dharna protesting new fee structure
Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh Jul 7 (UNI) More than 100 students of the Telugu Nadu Students Federation (TNSF) today staged a dharna in front of the Sub-Collector's office, here in protest against the increase in the engineering, medical, MBA, and MCA fees.
Addressing the agitators, the student leaders alleged that 'by deciding to enhance the fees, poor and middle class students would not be able to pursue their studies, which would ultimately lead to commercialisation of the education.
Criticising the Government's "unilateral decision to appease the private managements", TNSF Convenor SBV Prasad said the students community would oppose the move.
The district executive secretary Palla Gopalakrishna Yadav urged the State Government to rollback the enhanced fee structure to facilitate higher studies for the underprivileged students.
