Tiger skins found among unclaimed goods
Siliguri, July 7 (UNI) The North East Frontier Railway officials today recovered adult tiger skins from the stock of unclaimed goods.
New Jalpaiguri Station Manager Partha Sarathi Shil told UNI that the tiger skins were kept along with the unclaimed goods.
According to documents, the tiger skins were taken from Sealdah to New Jalpaiguri on November 12, 2003 and they had been kept in the godown since then.
The railway authorities found the skins while the unclaimed goods were being taken for auction.
''We have decided to investigate the matter,'' he said.
