Three people drowned in jammu
Jammu, July 7 (UNI) Three people, including two of a family, were drowned in separate incidents in Jammu region, official sources said today.
Mohammad Bashir, his wife Fatima and their two-year-old son were washed away by strong currents of Sarbari river while trying to cross at Mahore in Udhampur district last evening, sources said.
Police and local people rescued Bashir but could not find his wife. The body of his son was later recovered. Bashir was admitted to a hospital in Chasana.
In another incident one elderly person was killed while taking bath in a river in Rajouri district today, sources said. His body was later recovered by Army personnel, sources added.
