Three naxals die in Chhattisgarh
Dantewara, July 7 (UNI) Three naxals have been killed in an encounter with security personnel the dense forests of Lingagiri in Chhattisgarh's tribal Bastar region.
The operation against the outlawed Peoples Liberation Guerilla Army of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) was executed last night by police personnel from Bijapur district and the CRPF, police said.
After the raid, the personnel seized bodies of three rebels and it was believed that several others were injured. A landmine, a muzzle-loading gun, an IED, detonators, wires and naxal literature were seized from the spot.
State Home Minister Ram Vichar Netam and Director General of Police Om Prakash Rathor congratulated the personnel.
