Tata Teleservices to spend Rs 600 cr
Kolkata, Jul 7: Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) will invest Rs 600 crore in the eastern region by 2006-07 to expand its network, circle operating officer, Kolkata circle, Abhijit Pal said today.
''We will invest Rs 110 crore in the Kolkata circle for network expansion in the current fiscal. This will take the total investment to Rs 450 crore till date,'' Pal said.
Tata Teleservices has already crossed the 6 lakh customer base in Kolkata Circle. Nationally, the subscriber base has crossed the 10 million mark, he said.
The company today introduced the One World One Number International Roaming Service.
Customers will be able to enjoy both CDMA&GSM services without having to change their number by switching between the two networks freely with only one dual mode T-SIM.
The company also introduced high end mobile sets Globo Moto priced at Rs 24,999. The set will allow both CDMA and GSM services without the need for changing the handset.
