Kolkata, Jul 7 (UNI) Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) will invest Rs 600 crore in the eastern region by 2006-07 to expand its network, circle operating officer, Kolkata circle, Abhijit Pal said today.

'' We will invest Rs 110 crore in the Kolkata circle for network expansion in the current fiscal, taking the cumulative investment in the circle to Rs 450 crore,'' Pal said.

Tata Teleservices has already crossed the 6 lakh customer base in Kolkata Circle. Nationally, the subscriber base has crossed the 10 million mark, he said.

TTSL plans to enter the north east market shortly, Pal said.

The company today introduced the One World One Number International Roaming Service.

Customers will be able to enjoy both CDMA&GSM services without having to change their number by switching between the two networks freely with only one dual mode T-SIM.

The new facility will fill the gap in Europe, Middle East, Africa and some parts of Asia where CDMA roaming is not available.
