Soren for uniform policy on rehabilitation

Ranchi, July 7 (UNI) Union Coal Minister Shibu Soren today said a new uniform policy would be evolved regarding displacement and rehabilitation of the employees of Coal India.

Talking to reporters here, Mr Soren said he held talks with officials concerned and found various lapses in the policies which he found to be of different nature in different states.

Mr Soren said a uniform policy would lessen this problem.

He said through amendment the Centre would try to create jobs for the eligibles.

He said the problem created by land acquisition could also be solved to a great extent.
