Silver, gold rates shoot up on bullish global advice

Mumbai, July 7: Values of silver and gold shot up on bullish global advice in the opening session, traders in the bullion market here today said.

Following were the opening rates today: Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade : Rs 17,950, Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint: : Rs 9,445, Gold 99.9 purity variety : Rs 9,490.
