Sensex down in red, trades at 10,722.36 pts
Mumbai, July 07 (UNI) The BSE sensitive index (Sensex)dipped in the red by 46 points in the intra noon trade as the Banking shares pulled back the market on current selling.
Index bellwether Reliance Industries and HLL were also down and effective in pulling the market sentiment down.
Sectoral indices on the Nifty were however trading up in green, CNX IT was up by 2.12 per cent to 3989.35 and CNX 500 was up by 5.39 per cent to 2591.8 points.
Major gainers on the BSE were- BHEL up by 2.40 per cent, NTPC was up by 2.28 per cent, Bharti Tele was up by 1.90 per cent, ONGC was up by 0.75 per cent, and Grasim was up by 0.74 per cent.
Major losers were- HDFC down by 1.68 per cent, Reliance Industries was down by 1.67 per cent, SBI was down by 1.55 per cent and ICICI bank was down by 1.16 per cent.
