Rupee up by 10 paise; closes at Rs 46.06/07/USD

Mumbai, July 7: Indian currency today grew stronger by ten paise to close at Rs 46.06/07/US Dollar as compared to the previous close of Rs 46.16/US Dollar.

Earlier Rupee opened at Rs 46.11/13/US Dollar and in the mid-morning session traded at 46.11/12/US Dollar.

The six month forward premia was up at 1.15 per cent and the one year premia was flat at 1.21 per cent.

RBI fixed the Reference Rate at Rs 46.12/US Dollar today.

Rupee, however fared well against other currencies too: rupee vs euro was flat at Rs 58.70 (58.70), rupee vs pound sterling was up at Rs 84.50 (84.57), however against yen it was down at Rs 40.04 (39.90).
