Peta activits protest outside KFC outlet in Pune

Pune, July 7 (UNI) The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals' (PETAs) activists today held demonstration outside the KFC outlet at Nucleus Mall, near GPO, here against the abusive treatment given to the chickens by KFC in their meal.

Holding a sign that read 'KFC tortures chickens', PETA activists, dressed as Col Sanders, distributed leaflets detailing about how every bird meets a frightening death.

The protest was one of the hundreds going on around the world, as a part of an international campaign, launched by it to compel KFC to take steps to curb the worst abuses of the chickens, a Peta released stated here today.
