NUNTSA begins indefinite cease-work
Kohima, Jul 7 (UNI) The Nagaland University Non-Teaching Staff Association (NUNTSA) has resumed their indefinite strike yesterday onwards in support of their charter of demands against the Nagaland University authority.
NUNTSA President Imchatoshi Pongener said in a release here today that despite assurances given by the Vice-Chancellor, their demands were not fulfiled, which compelled them to resume their agitation.
The Association had called off their strike four months back and gave time to the Nagaland University authority to fulfill their demands.
The NUNTSA charter of demands included conduct of Departmental Promotion Committee, Departmental Promotion Examination,confirmation of services of all the eligible candidates, regularisation of 207 posts created by the University, finalization of recruitment and promotion rules, one time upward movement of eligible staff and settlement of land issue at Lumami campus of NU.
