NSCN factions clash over Tamenglong

Imphal, July 7 (UNI) Two factions of the NSCN, the NSCN (IM) and the NSCN (K) continued to clash for area dominance of Manipur's Tamenglong district.

The NSCN(K) in a statement here claimed that it was trying to drive out the NSCN (IM) cadres from the district and apprehended a NSCN(IM) cadre.

The NSCN (K) also expressed regret over the death of a civilian in the clash.

Various civil organisations have appealed to the outfits to stop the factional fights.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, the United National Liberation Front has warned the doctors of the state to be considerate to the poor.

Two doctors were pulled up allegedly for not attending to a pregnant woman.
