Mukesh Saini sent to five-day police remand

New Delhi, July 7 (UNI) A local court today sent former Navy Commander Mukesh Saini, arrested in connection with the leak of sensitive information from the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS), to five-day police custody.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kanwaljeet Arora passed the order after an in-camera hearing.

Saini, an employee of Microsoft, was picked up by police for questioning two days ago in connection with the leak of sensitive information from the NSCS when he was heading its information security cell.

He was likely to be taken to Mumbai in connection with the probe.
