MP to reserve one-third notary posts for women
Bhopal, July 7 (UNI) Amid the clamour for reservation for women, one-third posts of notaries will be reserved for women in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced today.
''While increasing the posts of notaries, one-third posts will be earmarked for female advocates'', he said after inaugurating the computerised library at the district court here.
He announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh for purchasing literature for the library, started at the initiative of senior advocate Uttam Chand Israni.
Madhya Pradesh Human Rights Commission chairman Justice D M Dharmadhikari stressed the need for using information technology for efficient discharge of judicial responsibilities.
