Mathrubhumi lensman, two others get photo award

Kozhikode, July 7: Mathrubhumi senior photographer K K Santosh has been selected for the first prize of the Victor George Memorial News Photography Award.

The second and third prizes of the Award, instituted by Victor George Memorial Trust of the Kerala Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ), were won by Najeeb Shah of 'Varthamanam' and Ajib Komachi of 'Madhyamam' respectively.

In the students section, H Harikrishan (SB College chenganassery), George Joseph (Devamatha College Kuruvilangad, Kottayam), Renin Das (St. Joseph College, Devagiri, Kozhikode) walked away with first, second and third prizes respetively.

The selections were made from a photography exhibition organised in memorary of ace Malayala Manorama photographer Victor George, who died in a landslide while on duty.

The exhibition was inaugurated by senior scribe Theruvath Raman.
