Maharashtra Governor lauds Murthy, Premji
London, July 7 (UNI) Lauding India's achievements in the IT and knowledge industry, Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna has praised former Infosys Chairman Narayana Murthy and Wipro Chief Azim Premji.
Mr Krishna said he had 'great admiration' for people like Murthy and Premji who built ''Institutions that are the pride of our nation.'' During his tenure in Karnataka as chief minister he got full cooperation from the IT bosses to create a Bangalore Agenda Task Force, he said.
''We had a group headed by Infosys Technologies CEO Nandan Nilkeni and spent hours together,'' Mr Krishna said speaking at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan here last evening.
He reiterated that the Bangalore model was being replicated elsewhere.
