Mahabir Prasad to head reconstituted Salahkar Samiti

New Delhi, July 7 (UNI) The government today reconstituted the Hindi Salahkar Samiti of the Ministry of Small Scale Industries and Agro and Rural Industries.

Small scale Industries Minister Mahabir Prasad is the Chairman of the Committee, which will advise the Ministry on the progressive use of Hindi in official work, official sources said.

Six Members of Parliament have been included as members. They are Dr Rajesh Kumar Mishra, Mr Gandhi Azad, Mr Gurjeet Singh Rana, Mr Pusp Jain, Mr Raashid Alvi and Ms Sushree Devi.

Apart from the officials of the Ministry and the Secretary and the Jt. Secretary of the Department of the Official Language, some non-official members have also been nominated by the Department of Official Language.

Some experts in Hindi language are also among the non-official members of the Committee.
