Lucas-TVS wins JIT Grand Prix award

Chennai, Jul 7 (UNI) Lucas-TVS, a leading manufacturer of auto electricals in India, has bagged the prestigious Japanese Award 'JIT Grand prix' for the second time.

Lucas-TVS was the first company outside Japan to receive the award twice, a company release here said today.

Company President (Operations) N Ravichandran received the award from the JIT management Laboratory Co. Ltd, Japan, for the work done during the year 2005-06 on JIT Methodology among other companies.

The award was handed over at the 18th Convention of JIT, organised by JIT Management Laboratory at Tokyo today.

Lucas- TVS had a dominant share in the domestic market and as a matter of fact three out of four vehicles rolled out were fitted with Lucas-TVS products, the release added.
