K'taka Council adjourned amidst noisy scenes

Bangalore, July 7 (UNI) The Karnataka Legislative Council was adjourned for the day amids noisy scenes after the Opposition Congress attempted to move an adjournment motion on the issue regarding Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy allegedly taking a bribe from the mining lobby.

When Leader of the Opposition H K Patil was on his feet to move the motion soon after question hour, the treasury benches demanded taking up of zero hour.

Taking strong exception, the Congress members demanded moving of the adjournment motion.

Officiating Council Chairman Sachidanand Khot adjourned the House to Monday amids noisy scenes, as the treasury and Opposition benches traded and counter traded charges.
