JKNPP hails creation of new districts in J
Jammu, July 7 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Natonal Panthers Party (JKNPP) today hailed the creation of eight new districts in the state particularty in Jammu division.
However, the party criticised the Congress led governments its their policy of appeasement with regard to Kashmir.
Addressing mediapersons here JKNPP Chairman Prof. Bhim Singh claimed the creation of new districts in Jammu Division as the fruits of Party's agitation launched in 1983 . He termed the decision as the victory of people of Jammu region and their sacrifices.
Prof Singh said not only the state but also the centre's policies towards Kashmir have always remained confusing and sort of appeasement. He however, clarified that the party was not against giving more districts to Kashmir valley but wanted Jammu to be given parity in districts with Kashmir.
Prof Singh demanded the reorganisation of Jammu and Kashmir state, saying that it would not only remove the regional imbalance and ensure equal share but also help in ending terrorism in the state. He urged the centre that there should not be any member from political parties in three member Delimitation commission, announced for the state.
