Iran says deadlines hurt confidence in nuclear talks

MADRID, July 7 (Reuters) Chief Iranian nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani today said time limits and deadlines in nuclear talks with major powers were undermining confidence on both sides.

Major powers have said they want a reply from Tehran by a July 15 Group of Eight (G8) summit in St Petersburg to a proposed package of incentives designed to entice Iran to halt uranium enrichment.

Larijani, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, also said the European Union could increase Tehran's confidence in the talks by lifting restrictions it has placed on exports of some industrial goods to Iran.
