Hollywood Foreign Press Association to watch Rang De Basanti

Mumbai, July 7 (UNI) A 95-member team of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), which is the official body for Golden Globe Awards will watch ''Rang De Basanti'' in the foreign language film category on July 27 at the Clarity Screening Theatre in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.

Ronnie Screwvala and Rakeysh Mehra will be present and the screening will be followed by Indian Dinner.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association screens films through the year, before arriving at the nominations decision and announcement towards the end of the year, a press release issued here today said.

The HFPA was founded more than 60 years ago by a group of Los Angeles - based journalists working for overseas publications.

Its annual Golden Globe awards have enabled the non - profit organization to donate more than 5.5 million dollars in the past eleven years to entertainment-related charities, as well as funding scholarships and other programmes for future film and television professionals.

This year the donation was more than one million dollars and the group also gave an additional 250,000 dollars to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
